Hello everyone!! I am a social worker in Greece with not so much experience in special education, but so willing to explore this fascinating world and improve my proffessional skills. I am working as an assistant teacher with an autistic little boy and moreover i am doing my master in Inclussive Education. I am trully interested in learning as much as possible about Asperger syndrome. In fact, my assignment's project at the time is Asperger syndrome and learning difficulties. Since Asperger is a field not so widely researched (especially here in Greece), i am struggling to gain as much information about it as i can. Any kind of help would be received as the most valuable gift (recommendation of books, articles, websites etc).
It would be a pleasure contacting with anyone who feels like sharing their precious knowledge. Sincere thanks!!!

Hi everyone, I am fairly new to the site but have left a lot of comments on the spouse forum....as well as having a son with Aspergers, and husband (undiagnosed) I am also a social worker and registered music therapist, and I work with children across the autistic spectrum. Tammy, you are a busy mum, and I know how hard it is to find time to get support and look after yourself, and how hard it can also be not to simply react to the childrens' behaviour when you are tired! It is also hard to meet the needs of the non Asperger child, let alone be organised!!! I just wondered whether your son attends a special needs preschool or playgroup in your area? I also wondered whether using music during the day would help with routine? If I can be of any help, or make any suggestions, I will try.

Hello all,

I need help with a routine for my son Qwaylan. I am so unorganized with everyday things. I'm a stay at home mother of 2 boys, a full time student online, and my husband is active duty army and haven't seen him since Oct 2007, I'm going crazy. I need help with a schedule. Can someone please help me? I feel so sorry for Qwaylan cause he's bored, but honestly doesn't have a reason to be, I'm sleep deprived, so my energy level is gone. I can go on and on.....Is there help out here for stay at home mothers with children with Aspergers/ADHD?

I am a licensed psychologist and work with children, teens, adults, and families and have seen many children and adults with Asperger's over the last thirty years (Am I THAT old?!?) I'd be happy to help anyone out in any way that I can! (I also know about Asperger's from the "inside" since I have some nieces and nephews who fall on the spectrum). Hi Sara,
I am in private practice and work predominately with children, teens and families. I'm a MSW, LCSW. In my practice I have several children and teens with Asperger's. I really enjoy working with this special group of kids. What kind of questions to you have? I'll try to help.
