Hello-
I am new to this site/group. I have a 14yr daughter with Aspergers and I am always looking to meet parents here in Georgia especially girls because its so hard for her to form connections at school so I decided that I would try here.

I am looking for support for our 5-1/2 year old son with Asperger in the Cumming area. Just diagnosed in April and has started social skills classes.

I would love to meet with other parents of asperger kids. I have gone to local groups at the North Georgia Autism Center and I was the only parent with an aspie...all the others had children that were way out on the spectrum...non-verbal, stimming etc... The difference between our children kept us from helping each other out and relating to each other.

I live in Cumming with three sons Robbie 8, Michael 6 (aspie) and Benjamin 21 mths (autistic). My older two go to Cumming Elementary and I am fighting to get Michael an IEP...the school keeps denying my request. I am also struggling with what type of therapy should I be seeking for Michael too. I am a stay at home mom to my boys.
